MISC...

My son Michael proposed to his girlfriend Sara on April 1st. They are planning a Nov. 3, 2012 wedding. I am so happy for them.

I saw a personalized frame at a craft show, selling for $45, and I knew I could make one much cheaper.

Here is my version

The happy couple LOVED it.

I see many more being made for Christmas gifts. One with Granny and Grandpa across all the grandkids names. Cute, Cute, Cute

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------While talking to my niece Shelly today, we were going over our weekly menus. She told me of this dessert and I just had to make it. What a mess, but it is so Yummy. Going into the monthly rotation.

Apple Cinnamon Skillet Monkey Bread

1/4 c. butter

1/4 c. Brown sugar, packed

1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

1 tube refrigerated biscuits

1/2 c. apple jelly

Melt butter in bowl. stir brown sugar and cinnamon together. Cut biscuits into 4 pieces, each.

Put cut up biscuits into large bowl and drizzle with melted butter. Stir to coat. Sprinkle on Brown sugar and cinnamon mix. Stir to coat. Place in 10" skillet or large dish, coated with spray oil. Top with apple jelly. bake 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.

I made this with apple pie filling, and doubled the recipe. It took almost 60 to bake, and was a huge mess to make, but Oh so worth it. the originbal recipe called for putting everything into a plastic bag and shaking it up. DID NOT WORK!

I want to thank Eatathome.com for the recipe.

New Challenges

Hi, Im finally back after the surgery and doing great. Thought it was time I got back into blogging.

I joined a Challenge for organizing my scraproom on 2PeasinaBucket.

So far, the room is OK, I have added a LARGE piece from Cheri. I have it full now, but not sure I like it.

ETA, my room is in an unfinished basement, with cement walls and floors and rafters. UGH

I am looking to add some lighting, but I only have 1 outlet with a multi plug. I'll post more when I actually do the Challenge. LOL

Finished Tilda with Flowers

Yeah, I finished my Tilda with Flowers Shadow Box.

I wasnt sure about the box itself, but I think I will leave it alone. I was going to paint it and rough it up a bit, but I think its growing on me. The browns in the flowers stand out more, since the box is wooden.

What do you all think? Should I paint it white and antique it, or leave it as is?

This is the right side. I added some flowers to the front glass to give it more depth.

And the left side. Tilda is popped out but its hard to tell from these pictures. I love how she turned out and will display her in my "library"

Tilda 5x7

Hi, This is my Un finished Tilda. She is set on a 5x7 canvas, that I plan to put into a shadow box for framing. I just love her.
Although I am not finished yet. I need to "stickle" the butterfly on the left, and I need to find some pearlized heart stick pins. She will also be popped off the window frame. Dont know if you can see the pearls on all the corners, but they are there.
I colored her with Copics. So much fun! Thanks for looking

Beagles
